Welcome to the 2018 Clearview Township Election information page. Municipal elections in Ontario are held every four years and are governed by the Municipal Elections Act. The next election for Clearview Township will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Please be advised that the Nomination Period for the 2018 Municipal Election has been shortened due to recent changes to the Municipal Elections Act. Nominations will not be accepted until May 1, 2018. The deadline for nominations will be 2 p.m. on July 27, 2018. Forms and candidate information packages will be available Spring 2018.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing has partnered with Clearview Township, the Town of Collingwood and the Town Wasaga Beach to host two detailed information sessions about requirements for running as a candidate in the upcoming municipal & school board elections as well as reviewing the new rules for “third-party advertisers.” Anyone who is considering running for office, or registering as a third party advertiser is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The webinar dates and time: Friday April 13, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and Monday April 23, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00PM. The connection details will be distributed closer to the date. The webinar will focus on the rules pertaining to Third Party Advertisers.
