The Clerk’s Office

The Clerk’s Office is responsible for providing the statutory duties required under provincial legislation which includes the Municipal Act, 2001, and providing information services for Council and its Committees, Departments and the citizens of Clearview Township. 

More specifically, the Clerk’s Department looks after:

Council Services

  • Preparation of Agendas and Minutes
  • Providing secretarial support for Council Committees and Boards
  • Managing Municipal Elections

Legislative Services

    • Overseeing the organization, retention, and disposition of Township records
    • Processing vital statistics information (death registrations)
    • Processing Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (MFIPPA) access requests
    • Lottery Licensing
    • Commissioner of Oath Services
    • Municipally Significant Events/Special Occasion Permits
